Restarting the Market 2013
Launching the first sell-out Solar Power UK Roadshow at Sandown Park Racecourse on 7 February 2013, the Rt Hon. Greg Barker, MP, Minister of State for Energy and Climate Change announced:

“[In January] we reached a huge milestone. solar is now, for the first time, a priority industry in the Government’s Renewables Roadmap. It is recognised as having a future as one of the key renewable technologies in the UK’s energy mix.”

Over a period of five exciting weeks during February and March 2013 the Solar Power UK Roadshow - Restarting the Market, toured across the country to 7 key locations in the UK. Each of the half-day seminars provided an accessible, educational opportunity for SME installer businesses to learn more about all the latest tips and topics essential for running a successful solar business in 2013. These informal events gave delegates the chance to quiz industry experts and find out about key issues affecting their businesses. From DECC briefings on the latest tariffs and solar policy, an exclusive preview of the new MCS Guide, top tips on marketing and customer relations as well as how to get involved in the recently launched Green Deal and the diverse roles available for solar installers in the new green finance programme.
